The charity which we are supporting this year is Marie Curie Cancer Care.

My son Peter is very busy raising funds in memory of his father, and plans to take part in the Bolton Iron Man competition on 1st August 2010, with the aim of raising £10,000 for the charity.

On Friday 28th May, we held a "Coffee and Cakes Morning", with fresh home baked cakes and coffee or tea on offer, in exchange for a donation to the funds; we raised a very respectable £325. Since then, we've been selling locally grown young plants and herbs, have co-hosted another "Coffee and Cakes Morning" (with a friend raising funds to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for the British Heart Foundation) -another £175 donated!

Customers have been incredibly generous, and our thanks go out to all of you - you know who you are!

The Garden Trading range of products has been featured in many of the popular magazines, such as "Country Living" and "Good Homes", this year, and is widely regarded as being excellent value for money, and a leading brand in its field.
